Yesterday we drove 45 minutes West to Grand Haven to spend the late afternoon and evening with Lois and Murray, a friend of John's since kindergarten. What fun. The five hours flew by. Like us, they live on the Grand River though in their case, just before it spills into Lake Michigan. Here we are out on their boat on a perfect day. Murray brought out some old pictures. For a decade, John was in nearly every picture; he and Murray were like brothers until 10th grade when they attended different schools. Every summer John camped with the family up in Pentwater on Lake Michigan.
