The flood came and is on it's way down---only 14 feet this time, but high enough for us to don our waders and get out the kayaks. Yesterday we kayaked down Abrigador Trail, then put them in the back of the car and unloaded along a flooded stream in East Grand Rapids and paddled into Fisk Lake, a tiny body of water with some 30 houses belonging to rich people. We enjoyed gawking, a sight from the water that few outsiders ever get. Below is a photo of our house when the flood had not yet reached 14 feet and one of John in the distance walking to our house from where we and our neighbors park vehicles.
